Stormbrixx SD: Stormwater Tanks for General Purpose Environments

Introducing the StormBrixx® SD, ACO’s plastic geocellular surface water management system recommended for applications up to 9 tonnes (for heavier loads, please contact ACO). It consists of a single, recyclable, polypropylene body that can be assembled in a variety of ways to form an open bonded structure.

Ideal for projects needing reliable water retention and infiltration, StormBrixx SD is a robust, lightweight alternative to traditional methods. Unlike typical installations, this system significantly reduces excavation needs. Consider utilising stormwater absorption trench designs with StormBrixx SD to maximise efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Explore how this system can benefit your application.

Design considerations for stormwater absorption trenches

Designing effective absorption trenches for stormwater requires careful consideration of various factors, including soil permeability, rainfall intensity and catchment area. Engineers must meticulously plan the layout and depth of an absorption trench to ensure its long-term functionality and prevent issues like clogging or surface ponding. Innovative solutions like the StormBrixx SD system can significantly enhance the performance of absorption trenches, providing a high void ratio for optimal water infiltration and retention.

The modular design of StormBrixx offers flexibility in creating a tailored stormwater absorption trench to meet specific site requirements — maximising land use and reducing installation costs. Beyond the technical aspects, incorporating sustainable materials like the recycled polypropylene used in StormBrixx SD is increasingly essential. ACO offers design support to ensure these advanced considerations are meticulously addressed, allowing you to create a robust and environmentally responsible stormwater management solution.
