Design considerations for stormwater absorption trenches
Designing effective absorption trenches for stormwater requires careful consideration of various factors, including soil permeability, rainfall intensity and catchment area. Engineers must meticulously plan the layout and depth of an absorption trench to ensure its long-term functionality and prevent issues like clogging or surface ponding. Innovative solutions like the StormBrixx SD system can significantly enhance the performance of absorption trenches, providing a high void ratio for optimal water infiltration and retention.
The modular design of StormBrixx offers flexibility in creating a tailored stormwater absorption trench to meet specific site requirements — maximising land use and reducing installation costs. Beyond the technical aspects, incorporating sustainable materials like the recycled polypropylene used in StormBrixx SD is increasingly essential. ACO offers design support to ensure these advanced considerations are meticulously addressed, allowing you to create a robust and environmentally responsible stormwater management solution.
